Executive proposition

The barrier is rarely finance. It's the ecosystem around it.

Establishing a finance broking operation rarely fails because someone cannot learn finance. It stalls on everything that surrounds it — licensing structure, compliance, lender accreditations, technology, credit and banking data tools, workflows, reporting and support. Sub-origination brings those elements together into one supported environment.

Who it's for

One infrastructure. Very different partners.

Aspiring finance brokers

You want to enter broking and build your own business, but navigating licensing, accreditations, compliance and systems independently is a significant undertaking.

Existing businesses

Your customers already require finance. A finance capability creates an additional revenue stream and a better customer outcome within your existing proposition.

Dealerships & merchants

Vehicle, equipment, machinery and recreational asset sellers who would benefit from an internal or closely integrated finance pathway for customers.

Existing finance professionals

Lending, banking, commercial finance or sales experience, and a desire for greater control over your income, your clients and your operation.

Entrepreneurs & referral-led operators

Strong networks or consistent sources of business, without wanting to independently build the entire operational ecosystem behind them.

Multi-broker operations

Established teams wanting infrastructure that scales across multiple loan writers, referral partners and sales management.

Also for

Brokers placing a deal outside their niche

  • Mortgage brokers whose clients need asset or business finance
  • Asset finance brokers without accreditation for a specific lender
  • Accountants and advisers who want a compliant referral path
  • Brokers with a deal outside their usual niche or comfort zone
  • Aggregator groups needing overflow capacity

How placement works

A simple, transparent process

01

Send the deal, not the paperwork

A short summary is enough to start — asset, amount, entity, timeframe and anything unusual.

02

We assess placement honestly

We tell you quickly whether it's fundable, what it will likely look like, and which lender fits.

03

We originate and manage

Structuring, lodgement, lender negotiation, conditions and settlement coordination.

04

Your client stays yours

We work to your preferred level of visibility and hand the relationship straight back after settlement.

Two ways to operate

Operate under an established brand, or build your own

Both pathways lead into the same Finsterl-powered ecosystem — the same technology, lender access, compliance framework and broker support.

Option 1

Finsterl Finance branded

Operate as a Finsterl Finance branded sub-originator. Suited to partners who want to leverage an established finance brand and concentrate on generating and writing business rather than establishing a separate market identity.

  • Established brand presence
  • Faster go-to-market
  • Existing operational framework
  • Reduced branding setup requirements
  • Concentrate on client relationships and writing finance
Option 2

White label / your own brand

Establish your own business identity and operate as an authorised credit representative within the relevant Finsterl licensing structure, subject to applicable approvals and agreements. We can guide you on brand, website and operating infrastructure.

  • Build your own brand and trading identity
  • Develop your own website and digital presence
  • Build enterprise value in your own operation
  • Create a finance division within an existing business
  • Establish a potentially scalable standalone brokerage

Lender access

Breadth that lets you explore solutions, not force them

Banks, non-bank lenders, fintech lenders, specialist financiers, private funders, rental and leasing financiers and niche providers. Access to individual lenders is subject to accreditation and the relevant requirements.

Technology & CRM

Your own CRM and broker compliance environment

Every sub-originator receives a dedicated environment configured by Finsterl — built to run a single-broker operation and to scale to a multi-broker business.

Leads & clients

Lead management, client records, digital application links and a single view of every opportunity in your pipeline.

Applications & workflow

Application processing, compliance workflows, deal tracking, document management and workflow automation.

Lender matching

Lender matching functionality can use key application information to help identify potential options. It supports — it does not replace — broker judgement, and it does not determine eligibility or approval.

Reporting & forecasting

Performance reporting and commission forecasting so you can see pipeline, conversion and expected settlements.

Referral partner management

Manage referrers, attribute opportunities to their source and keep introducers informed automatically.

Automation & API

Automated client communications, API functionality and scalable workflows suitable for individual brokers through to multi-broker operations.

Compliance infrastructure

A structured environment designed to support how you operate

Finsterl provides systems, documentation and guidance designed to help brokers operate within the required compliance framework. Responsibility for compliance remains with the broker and the relevant licence arrangements.

  • Broker compliance system with guided workflows and documented procedures
  • Compliance documentation, process documentation and compliance training
  • Ongoing compliance support, including assistance navigating relevant ASIC portals
  • Assistance with AFCA membership setup
  • Support around corporate and individual credit representative structures, where applicable

Credit & data tools

Assessment tools inside your workflow

Established third-party platforms, available within the relevant service arrangements. These platforms are provided by their respective owners and are not Finsterl products.

Equifax

Individual and company credit reports, relevant company and title searches, and CreditorWatch reports where available within the service.

illion BankStatements

Digital bank statement collection, detailed transaction and banking reports and expense analysis, integrated into the CRM workflow.

Supporting platforms

Access to or integration with workflow, marketing and processing tools such as Mailchimp, Burst SMS / Kudosity, Sejda and Typeform or custom application links.

Support & training

You don't get software credentials and get left alone

Technology does not replace experience. Sub-originators have access to an experienced team who can workshop transactions with you and help you develop as a broker.

Deal workshopping

An experienced team you can talk transactions through with — structure, lender selection and how to present a scenario properly.

Lending fundamentals

Understanding lender policy, reading a lending scenario, information gathering, application packaging and credit assessment fundamentals.

Consumer & commercial

Working across both sides, including how they differ in structure, documentation and lender expectations.

Systems & compliance

Using the CRM effectively and working through compliance processes and documentation requirements.

Repeatable processes

Working with referral partners, developing efficient workflows and building broking processes that scale.

Business development

Website and online presence guidance, brand development, SEO support, lead capture, email and SMS communication and CRM nurture workflows.

Income & remuneration

Revenue is generated from settled transactions

Finance brokers earn income from finance transactions they originate and settle. Sub-originator income is calculated as a simple percentage split of applicable upfront commissions generated from successfully settled finance transactions, as those commissions are paid to Finsterl Finance.

01Write the deal
02Settlement
03Upfront commission paid to Finsterl
04Your agreed % share paid to you

Matters the agreement can address

  • Settlement-based remuneration
  • Applicable commission splits
  • Timing of commission payments
  • Treatment of different transaction types
  • Bespoke commercial arrangements
  • Business introduced by the licence holder
  • Optional additional support arrangements
  • Deal processing arrangements
  • Marketing arrangements

A separate Income & Commission Guide setting out an individual commission split and remuneration structure can be provided on request. Commercial terms may vary depending on the individual partnership arrangement and are governed by the applicable Sub-Origination Agreement.
